Hair follicles are bunched in small groups of 1-4 follicular units (or follicular family units). These occur randomly, but are like that for a reason. Because of this, a special dissection is performed at Dr. Donath’s clinic to preserve the naturally growing follicular groups. Each group are separated and placed into the recipient sites accordingly. (1 follicular unit along the hairline and 3 or 4 follicular units are placed more centrally).
